Rayane was feeling unwell. He had a headache, a stomachache, and a stuffy nose. He also had body aches and was feeling tired. He checked his temperature with a thermometer, but he did not have a fever. He went to bed early the night before but did not eat breakfast the next morning.
His friends asked him to see a doctor. Rayane does not have a family doctor, so they went to a community clinic. The nurse at the clinic said he was not very sick since he did not have a fever. She told him to go home and go to bed. She also reminded him to eat something and take a pill for the headache. She said, “Do not go to the emergency room unless you are very sick.”
One of his friends offered him some homemade soup, which he ate with some crackers. His friends told him to look for information online when he feels sick.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to find a family doctor in Quebec.
